Location

G-6 is located right in the middle of the sectors G-5 and G-7. It borders the Blue Area on Jinnah Avenue. On the south side we have the very Beautiful Shakarparian National Park bordering the Srinagar Highway.

The star of the show is the most popular, Melody Food Park, which houses an amazing gallery of delicious endless local restaurants. This is the most famous place for eating or just spending the weekend in. The G-6 markaz also includes some important offices and landmarks including  National Accountability Bureau, The Capital Development Authority office, Federal Treasury Office etc. You can also find mosques, parks, banks/atms, PSO and Shell fuel pumps, barber shops, gyms and other various convenience stores. 

Sub Sectors:

All of the four sub sectors of G-6 are packed with grocery shops, salons, mosques, schools, parks etc. for the convenience of the residents.

G-6/1 

The highlight of this sub sector is of course the Aabpara market located to the southern side of the G-6/1. In G-6/1 you can find a few local markets too including “New Aabpara Market '' which consists of all the important shops that residents require on a daily basis, such as grocery shops, salons, mobile phone shops, vegetable market, garment shop, electronics shop and much more. In terms of medical facilities the “Maternity Care Hospital” is located in G-6/1 and a few clinics like “Asia Memorial Clinic '' can also be found in the sub sector.  A couple of schools can also be found in the area including the renowned institute, Islamabad Model College for girls and F.G Primary School. Two of the famous hotels are also part of G-6/1, known as Islamabad Regalia and Islamabad Lodge. The Embassy of Afghanistan also resides in G-6/1. 

G-6/2

What G-6/2 has to offer is the “Javed Market '' which has all the basic shops that residents may require including convenience stores, bakeries, tailors etc. Few of the notable schools/colleges in this sub sector include “Islamabad model school for girls” and “Islamabad model college for boys”.  Other shops for convenience include convenience stores, meat shops, barbers, a mosque etc. The previously mentioned “Argentina Park” is also located in this sub sector. G-6/2 is rich with medical centres such as the aforementioned “Polyclinic Hospital”, “CDA Hospital and the furry homeo clinic”. If you wish to relax and enjoy a cup of tea you can always visit the sector’s best tea place, the” Irum Tea Corner” 

G-6/3

In G-6/3 subsector you can find a couple of local markets that consist of all the necessary things for the residents. If you are a fan of sports, you can find the ICB Ground along with a few other small parks in the sector. In the education sector, you can find the Islamabad College for Boys. G-6/3 has quite a few embassies, such as the embassy of Finland, Jordan and Azerbaijan.  

G-6/4

G-6/4 is famous for its Guest houses as you can find a lot of them for example, Magnolia Guest House, Elite Lodge Guesthouse, New Islamabad Guest house and a lot more. For your local daily shopping G-6/4 offers you the grand Sunday Market which has everything you need; all kinds of meat, fruits and vegetables. Apart from the sunday market, the Sangam market is also located in G-6/4. The infamous and controversial Lal Masjid can be found in G-6/4. A few restaurants, both local and international can be found in this sub sector as well like Subway. 

Ways to commute:

Multiple modes of transportation are available in G-6, Islamabad. Taxis and wagons are some of the most common public transport options available. The popular Careem and Uber drivers can be conveniently and quickly found around the area in the sector for commuting. 

Medical care/ Hospitals:

G-6 is known for having some of the very significant Hospitals of Islamabad such as The Polyclinic Hospital and the CDA Hospital. Apart from the Hospitals in G-6, you can find a good number of clinics as well  for urgent medical attention or for basic necessities, such clinics include Al Khidmat Clinic and Ayesha Clinic. You can always visit BlueArea, bordering the markaz where you can find a good variety of hospitals and clinics, one of the notable Hospitals is the Kulsum International Hospital. Property Trends in sector g 6 islamabad

G-6 is a rather unique sector of Islamabad as it varies between two different kinds of housing. The sub sectors G-6/1 and G-6/2 comprises the majority of houses reserved for government employees which consists of 10 marla houses and 12 marla houses. Here we can find mostly old built houses and a few demolishable houses as well. The price per marla houses available to civilians in G-6/1 and G-6/2 is about 38 lacs whereas the rent of such houses varies around PKR 60k to 70k.

G-6/3 and G-6/4 however are a different story. G-6/3 and G-6/4 consist of luxury homes as well as elite class designer houses which are available for people who can afford it. The higher price tag of such properties comes from the location, the existence of the sub sectors near the D-chowk, the parliament, the Supreme Court etc. Here you can find houses larger than 2 Kanals. These fancy houses can set you back about PKR 20-25 Crores and the rent of such houses will cost about 8 lacs and above depending on the type of house.   

For people looking for a plot for sale in G-6, there aren’t many options available. As most of the sector is developed. But a demolishable house for sale can be found, a  house for sale in G-6 of this type can be purchased starting from 2- 4 crore to around 20-25 crore. Whereas if you are looking for a house for rent in G 6, there are many options available. You can find a huge 4 Kanal house for rent in G-6 starting from 3 Lakh to 14 Lakh, depending on the condition of the house. People who are looking for smaller accommodations on rent can find a ground portion for rent in g-6 starting from 60,000 to 250,000, depending on the size and condition of the house.
