Islamabad: To combat increasing unemployment, Pakistan requires 1.7 million jobs for its youth, said Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar. The government will create the opportunities under Kamyab Jawan Programme, which is an effort for public-private collaboration, he added.
Speaking during the inaugural session of the two-day ‘National Workshop on Incubator Management’, Usman Dar said that Rs100 billion have been allocated for the youth programme. Under the programme, interest-free loans will be provided to the unemployed youth to promote self-employability.
The workshop was jointly organised by the Business Incubation Centre of NUML (BICON), Higher Education Commission and Idea-Gist at National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad.
