KARACHI: With the help of the World Bank, a $100-million project is being launched by the federal government to upgrade the deteriorating conditions of water supply and sewerage system.
The Sindh Assembly was informed by Local Government Minister Nasir Shah that the provincial government had planned to launch the project with the assistance of the World Bank.
The purpose of this project is to provide the people with clean water to drink and sewage system to overcome water issues faced in the city. This project will also attract private sector investment.
By setting these goals, the issues faced by the Karachi Water and Sewage Board will be solved and the water and sewage problems of the local residents will also be resolved.
