ISLAMABAD: The federal government is working on the ‘Cadastral Mapping Project’ in a bid to digitize the land record system in the country.
According to the details, the federal government is working on a framework for transforming the old patwari system into a digitised system.
The initiative of the government will prove to be a robust force in the elimination of malpractice and it will remove the unnecessary frictions in the purchase, and transfer of the land. Moreover, it will become easy for everyone to check land records online.
Furthermore, digitisation will also be instrumental in relieving the pressure of the judiciary in deciding the cases related to land titles.
Similarly, the government has also decided to computerise the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB).
