LAHORE: Abu Dhabi based company Muhammad Umer Bin Haider Holding Group has expressed their interest in developing low-cost houses for the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme in partnership with the Punjab Ministry for Housing.
The talks transpired in a meeting between provincial minister Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed and head of the UAE firm’s International Business Development wing Dr Naji Bou Farkhreddine, who was leading a delegation that included Business Manager Ali Lelo as well. Vice Chairperson Overseas Pakistani Commission Punjab Waseem Chaudhry and Secretary Housing Naseem Sadiq were also present.
Besides briefing the delegation on the construction bylaws of the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme and its practically implemented business models, Rasheed reaffirmed his provincial government’s determination to provide all sorts of facilities to investors for the project.
Dr Farkhreddine said that his company – boasting a vast experience of 80 years in the construction field – was keen to work with the Punjab government on the low-cost housing scheme and would present a model house after its construction.
