Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi district administration has finalised a plan to dispose of sacrificial waste during and after Eid days. The plan was prepared and approved during a meeting between Deputy Commissioner Ali Randhawa and Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC).
The deputy commissioner directed all the relevant departments to dump the waste properly and timely so that public inconvenience is prevented.
He further asked the authorities to ensure complete cleanliness in the cattle markets, and said that no sale and purchase of the animals should be allowed on the roads. Strict action would be taken in case of non-compliance.
Likewise, to prevent waste disposal in the nullahs and drains, Section 144 has been imposed, while the sanitation department is responsible to oversee it, he added.
He stated that staff will be available round the clock to ensure public safety and cleanliness.
