ISLAMABAD: Pedestrians in Islamabad will be accorded safety, facilitation and relief as the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is all set to start constructing four overhead bridges at different locations in the city.
One of the bridges will be built on Kashmir Highway near Sunday Bazaar, second on Faisal Avenue near PIMS hospital, third on Jinnah Avenue near Mehran Gate of F-9 Park and the fourth will be constructed near Pak Secretariat.
The installation work of the pedestrian bridges has been assigned to Heavy Mechanical Complex Taxila, and the total cost of the project is estimated to be around Rs174 million.
A sum of Rs51.94 million has been allocated for the bridge on Kashmir Highway, while Rs40.12 million will be spent on the Jinnah Avenue bridge.
Moreover, the bridge on Faisal Avenue has a budget of Rs42.93 million and around Rs38.99 million are to be utilised for the bridge near Pak Secretariat.
