The delegation, which included Hashim Group Chairman Haşim Süngü and Ege Yapı Executive Board Member Alpay Çepni, visited the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) as part of their itinerary.

While discussing business opportunities, the delegation acknowledged that both Pakistan and Turkey have the potential to increase the current trading volume from $800million to over $100billion.

The Turkish businessmen lauded the bright future of Pakistan and expressed their desire to bring construction technology and investment to the country.

ICCI President Muhammad Ahmed Waheed reciprocated the visitors’ proposed joint ventures, adding that Turkey has much to gain by investing in sectors like infrastructure development, real estate, IT, automobile and housing as well.

He added that if Turkish companies go ahead with their investment plans in Pakistan, they will also benefit from easy access to Central Asia and many other markets for exports.

Waheed reassured the delegation about the Chamber’s full cooperation and assistance in finding them the right partners in Pakistan to work with.
