The strike called by the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) has resulted in the Customs and FBR to suffer a loss of over Rs200 million on account of duty and other taxes on import and export goods.

The officials informed that despite meetings the issue has remained unresolved, as complaints have been submitted against being stopped at the border crossing despite paying duty and taxes properly on items imported from Iran and get these cleared by the Customs.”

Furthermore, the boycott will continue if the provincial and federal government did not take immediate action.
