Swat: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has opened Swat Motorway for light traffic vehicles on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The motorway provides a fast route access to tourism destinations like Swat, Kalam, Kumrat and Dir. Reports are already coming in of a large number of tourists from all over Pakistan travelling on the Swat Motorway.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had earlier announced the opening of Swat Motorway on eid. This motorway reduces travel time from Islamabad to Swat from six to three hours. Swat Motorway is 81 kilometers long and offers a four lane access. More details about the route of Swat Motorway and the areas it passes through and connects is given in our last blog on this subject.
