Islamabad—Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi shared extensive plans to transform Islamabad into a world-class city.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is going flat out to tackle the environmental crisis. The institution plans to procure electric motorbikes exclusively, a decisive step towards reducing environmental pollution. Additionally, introducing eco-friendly electric buses will replace conventional motorcycles as part of an extensive ecological initiative.
To address critical infrastructure gaps, Minister Naqvi announced the transfer of emergency services administration from the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) to the CDA. This move promises to deliver enhanced emergency services that meet international standards for residents.
Naqvi also emphasized efficient urban management by highlighting the imminent establishment of the Capital Waste Management Company, with plans to expedite related matters.
To alleviate traffic congestion, Minister Naqvi outlined upcoming construction plans for the Serena Chowk Underpass and the F-9 Park Chowk Flyover projects. He also prioritized the long-awaited completion of the Expressway project.
Furthermore, Naqvi pledged to advance development initiatives in underdeveloped sectors of Islamabad, ensuring timely possession for all allottees. These efforts aim to improve the rank of Islamabad in the list of world-class cities through sustainable and modern urban planning.
