Supply of drinking water to be ensured for residents of Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has undertaken to provide drinking water to the residents of Islamabad. In this direction, the development work is in progress on installing water treatment plants in sector I-8 and Sangjani.

Moreover, the old water network including tube wells, supply pipes, and water tankers is being replaced with new ones at the cost of Rs495mn.

CDA officials added that the authority has devised a strategy that will resolve the problem of water shortage in summers. The residents of Islamabad will have abundant water for domestic usage.
