Karachi, December 18, 2024 – The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is actively working on the rehabilitation of its aging gas distribution network in Karachi to enhance the efficiency and reliability of gas supply to domestic consumers.
The company is undertaking the rehabilitation of a 2,500-kilometer pipeline network, with a primary focus on densely populated areas such as North Nazimabad, North Karachi, and parts of Lyari. The ongoing work aims to replace outdated distribution pipelines, address issues such as gas leaks, and resolve persistent low-pressure problems. These efforts are designed to ensure a more reliable gas supply, particularly during peak cooking hours, and to improve overall gas availability for residents.
With this initiative, SSGC aims to significantly upgrade its infrastructure and provide a more stable and efficient gas distribution system for Karachi’s growing population.
