LADHA: Due to the incompletion of Sam Hospital in South Waziristan tribal district, patients face inconvenience as they have to be taken far off areas even for minor ailments.
The government allocated Rs162 million for the construction of the hospital, which began on July 2017. However, the project is still incomplete due to slow-paced construction.
Owing to non-availability of health facilities in Sam, patients have to travel to Ladha, Makeen or Razmak tehsil in the adjacent North Waziristan tribal districts, or nearby hospitals in Tank and Dera Ismail Khan Districts.
The locals of the area demand the government to expedite work and resolve the issues in Sam Hospital so the local people could avail treatment facilities in their own area, as many can’t afford additional transportation and treatment charges.
