Scholars from Xi’an Jiao Tong University, University of Peshawar, Chinese University of Political Science and Law, and Islamia College University concluded in their study that CPEC needs to be digitalised by initiating a DTC in the country. The centre has been proposed to be established at the CPEC Authority office, allowing the country to attract businesses and investors alongside CPEC’s progress.

The establishment of this institution will allow the country to take advantage of CPEC funding and foreign investments by transparently managing them through a digital platform. Since the economic corridor also aims at attracting investment and transforming the country’s digital landscape, this institute will be a step in the right direction.

Scholars from both sides have emphasised that a DTC is pertinent to the installation of technical, industrial, agricultural technologies in Pakistan. The proposal of a digital centre goes synonymous with the current situation of the country, where development of databases and applications has become a necessity.

For the project to be a success, collaboration and cooperation between government officials of both countries is vital.
