ISLAMABAD: The federal government has authorised the release of Rs297.643 billion for ongoing and new uplift projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2019-20 against the total allocation of Rs701 billion.
According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform, Rs135.113 billion for federal ministries, Rs100.56 billion for corporations and Rs21.52 billion for special areas have been released, respectively.
The government has apportioned Rs26.78 billion for security enhancement in the country out of the total allocation of Rs32.5 billion for the year 2019-20.
Rs12 billion have been allocated for the development of the merged areas of the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) under the government’s 10-year development programme.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has received an amount of Rs12.1 billion against the total allocation of Rs29 billion.
Pakistan Nuclear Energy Authority has been authorised an amount of Rs150.73 billion out of the total allocation of Rs301.48 billion.
The government has also released Rs93.57 billion for the National Highway Authority (NHA) against the total allocation of Rs154.96 billion.
Out of the total allocated Rs16 billion, the Railways Division has been provided with Rs6.4 billion for the current fiscal year.
The Cabinet Division has received Rs19.3 billion against the total allocated amount of Rs39.986 billion for the year 2019-20.
The government also released Rs12.75 billion for Azad Jammu and Kashmir out of the allocated Rs27.26 billion, and Rs8.7 billion for development projects in Gilgit Baltistan have also been released.
