Revenue of Rs.3 billion from regularization of 6000 illegal buildings: MCG

Gujranwala: During a survey for illegal constructions, 6000 plus buildings have been identified. The Municipal Corporation Gujranwala in hands with the District Administration will devise a strategy for recovery of their regularization and commercial fee.

According to the building inspectors as part of the survey, conversion fee and maps for several illegal buildings have not been submitted. For the rest, plazas have been erected instead of residential houses from which a heavy financial amount will be recovered.

Chairman for Commercialization, Atif Butt said, the amount of recovery can cross three billion if Satellite Town and Peoples Colony, are handed over to the corporation in written. A meeting to devise a strategy over taking action against those without files, will be held tomorrow, said the Assistant Commissioner Tariq Hussain.
