Islamabad, Pakistan – Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, conducted a thorough inspection of the ongoing renovation work at the Jinnah Convention Centre on Saturday. He was accompanied by senior CDA officials during the visit.
The Chairman was briefed on the progress of the renovation efforts, which are being executed continuously under the guidance of top architects. The objective is to upgrade and modernize the Jinnah Convention Centre to meet international standards. Key areas of focus include the refurbishment of the main hall and committee rooms.
The briefing also highlighted that the upgrade plan involves extensive flooring replacement, comprehensive repairs across the building, and detailed painting and glasswork. Additionally, the furniture and carpets within the Convention Centre are being enhanced. The surroundings of the Centre are also being improved with landscaping, horticultural work, and upgraded lighting to create an aesthetically pleasing environment.
Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized that the renovation of the Jinnah Convention Centre is aimed at ensuring the facility is fully equipped to host significant international events, including the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
