ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Planning and Development and Reforms has authorised the release of Rs257.436 billion, including Rs53.62 billion foreign aid, to fund ongoing and new development projects under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2019-20 against the total allocation of Rs701 billion.
According to the latest data of PSDP released by the Planning Commission of Pakistan, the release of Rs114.199 billion, including foreign aid of Rs7.88 billion, was authorised for developmental projects of different federal ministries against the total allocation of Rs303.66 billion for the current fiscal year.
The government has also released Rs80.029 billion for National Highway Authority (NHA) out of Rs154.966 billion allocated in the current year’s development agenda.
A release of Rs10.640 billion for Azad Jammu and Kashmir has also been authorised, including Rs854.610 million of foreign aid against the total allocation of Rs27.284 billion.
Rs30.21 billion have been released aiming to enhance the water resource development against the total allocation of Rs85.72 billion.
The Cabinet Division has also been authorised a release of Rs15.994 billion out of the allotted Rs39.98 billion for the current fiscal year. Higher Education Commission (HEC) will receive an amount of Rs11.51 billion against the total allocation of Rs29.046 billion.
