RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General (DG) Saif Anwar Jappa has directed relevant authorities to take strict action against illegal housing schemes in the city.
According to the details, the officers are directed to regularly monitor any illegal activity in the city and take remedial measures to address it.
Moreover, letters were sent to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the Federal Investigation Agency (Cyber Crime Wing) Islamabad, and the Federal Board of Revenue requesting them to halt the advertisement of these illegal societies on social media.
The RDA spokesperson warned that the owners of illegal housing societies had not obtained No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the civic body. Therefore the public should not invest in these societies.
