RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has announced the launch of development work on the Leh Expressway project in March.
The length of the project has been reduced to 18 kilometres from 35-50 meters.
The project worth Rs55 billion will be completed under private-public partnership (PPP) to resolve the flood issues faced in the city.
Apart from five flyovers, three underpasses, and two interchanges to be constructed, a commercial area featuring eight-storey buildings will also be set up to promote economic activities under the project.
In addition, the authorities have informed alternative accommodation for those residing in the slums.
