RAWALPINDI: In a bid to uplift the construction sector, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has set new standard operating procedures (SOPs) to approve building plans.

The plan was put into effect on June 22.

The residential and commercial building plans will now be approved within a month.

The building plan for a private housing scheme within two months of the submitted application.

The authority will approve a building plan seeking change in a maximum of 45 days.

The authorities have been directed to take strict action if the building plans were not approved in the set timeframe, despite the submission of complete documents by the applicants, announced RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza.
