Rawalpindi: Punjab Government is implementing a zero-tolerance policy against encroachments across the province with the objective of restoring cities to their original shape. Reportedly billions of rupees have been recovered during the ongoing anti-encroachment campaign across Punjab.
Anti-encroachment teams have removed 82 encroachments under directives of Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner Chaudhary Ali Randhawa. A total of 82 encroachments have been removed in Tehsils of Rawalpindi, Kahuta and Gujar Khan.
Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation (RMC) removed sixty seven encroachments from Shamsabad Park, Sixth Road, Sadiqabad and Ghaznavi Market areas. Kahuta Municipal Corporation (KMC) removed eight encroachments along Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Road and main Kahuta Bazar areas. Gujar Khan Municipal Corporation demolished seven encroachments in Lunda Bazar.
