KARACHI: Roshan Digital Account (RDA) inflows crossed $2.114 billion at the end of last month – August.
As per the State Bank of Pakistan’s data, the recent surge in RDA inflows, as compared to June this year, is a welcome step to rectify the current account deficit that is expected in FY22.
The RDA initiate was made effective in September 2020 and attracted only $7 million in the start. But with the support of the government, it has reached momentum and now has crossed the $ 2 billion mark.
As per details, in the first 8 months of 2021, the RDA performed well and attracted $1.864 billion with the total reaching $2.114 billion by end of August.
