RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Tariq Mahmood Murtaza, on Sunday, announced that the civic body generated Rs2 billion in the current fiscal year. The increase is attributed to the ease of doing business policy that gave a boost to the construction industry.
He further said that the construction industry has earned Rs71 billion in the past three years owing to the incentives. The government was keen to give further incentives to the industry.
As per reports, Rs51 billion were earned in 2020-21, Rs6.5 billion in 2018-19 and Rs12.5 billion in 2019-20 due to increased business activities.
In addition, the RDA chairman further said that on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Leh Nullah Expressway project’s proposal was under consideration.
RDA’s four mega projects – Ammar Chowk, Kutchery Chowk, Defence Chowk and Leh Nullah Expressway – were also underway.
