RAWALPINDI: Chairman Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Raja Tariq Mehmood has informed that the development authority has generated Rs264mn of surplus revenue in the fiscal year 2020-21.
According to the details, RDA has also saved Rs1bn under the austerity drive of the department.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairman informed that the civic authority has started a drive against the illegal housing societies and declared 264 housing societies illegal in the city.
Out of 386 housing societies, the RDA has approved 62 housing societies while the status of 60 housing societies is under review.
