RDA officials stated that the property owners had violated the Building and Zoning Regulations of 2020. These violations included unauthorized construction without approval and illegal alterations to the structures.

The Building Control Wing has been directed to conduct surveys throughout the city. The operation was carried out with the assistance of the Airport Police Station.

DG RDA, Saif Anwar Jappa, directed the Building Control Wing to continue the crackdown on illegal constructions fearlessly. In addition to sealing properties, the authorities are also conducting surveys to impose fines for regularizing illegal commercial and residential structures.

RDA officials emphasized that illegal constructions result in substantial revenue losses to the national treasury, amounting to billions of rupees annually.
