RAWALPINDI: The 46th meeting of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) governing body, chaired by Tariq Mehmood Murtaza approved the construction of 100 feet tall buildings along the G.T. Road.
The approval for the construction of 100ft tall buildings has only been permitted on the G.T. Road, which will commence after the builders ensure the designs are made earthquake-proof.
While deliberating on the agenda items, the governing body also accorded approval to increase the maximum height of buildings along 16 commercial roads to 65ft from 38ft.
The commercial roads include High Court Road, Saidpur Road, Adiala Road, Chakri Road, Chak Beli Khan Road, Fatehjang Road, Dhamial Road, Girja Road, Chakri Road, Rashid Minhas Road, and Asghar Mall Road.
RDA Director General Ammara Khan, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Managing Director Mohammad Tanveer, MPAs, experts, and representatives of finance, housing and urban development, planning and development, and local government departments and the commissioner and deputy commissioner’s offices were among the attendees of the meeting.
