According to details, the Punjab Land Revenue Authority has taken notice and requested details regarding violations in approved housing societies. As per the law, housing societies are required to provide essential facilities within their boundaries, including water supply, sewage system, graveyard, schools, colleges, and public parks.

The Director-General of RDA, Saif Anwar Jappa, revealed that out of the numerous housing schemes, only 70 have acquired the necessary approvals, while the rest are operating unlawfully. He further stated that they successfully digitized all relevant records with the assistance of the Land Revenue Department.

Nevertheless, the RDA has issued warnings to the owners and developers of illegal housing schemes, urging them to seek proper approvals from the municipal authorities. However, the warning was seemingly ignored.

In addition to this, Commissioner Liaqat Ali Chatha has taken a firm stance on the matter, issuing a final warning to the property owners to seek authorization and avoid the risk of being blacklisted.
