ISLAMABAD: The Rawal Dam flyover project has entered its final stages as the project is set to be completed by the end of September.
According to the Capital Development Authority (CDA), most of the filling work has been completed on both ramps of the flyover, with further instructions for compaction to reduce the effects of the recent monsoon rains.
CDA management has issued instructions to expedite the process, further instructing the concerned departments to ensure the highest quality of work while utilising resources efficiently.
The Federal Works Department (FWO) is overseeing the Rawal Dam interchange project, with the project being completed one month before the expected deadline. The initial deadline for the interchange was October 2022.
Apart from the main flyover, the project also includes several slip roads, one underpass, and another underpass that connects to Margalla Town separately.
The completion of this project will result in an ease in traffic congestion around Murree Road, relieving commuters from daily blockages.
