SHEIKHUPURA: The eco-friendly Ravi River Urban Project, aimed at resolving environmental issues, was expected to generate $40 billion in revenue for the country, said Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The announcement was made while launching Pakistan’s first-ever 24,000 Kanal ‘Rakh Jhok’ smart forest near Sheikhupura – a joint collaboration of Ravi Urban Development Authority and tech giant Huawei
The initiative launched under Ravi Riverfront Urban Project was attended by Chief Minister Punjab, Mr. Usman Buzdar and other senior members.
In addition, over 10 million trees, three barrages at the river, and multiple filtration plants to ensure the provision of clean water were listed as some of the common features of the transformative project.
