RAWALPINDI: The provincial government of Punjab has decided to set up a Strategic Planning Unit for revising Rawalpindi’s master plan.
According to the details, the city administration is planning to increase the green belts along with streamlining the residential, commercial, and industrial areas in the city.
Commissioner Rawalpindi, Gulzar Hussain Shah while chairing a meeting stated that agricultural land and green belts in the city will be protected under Punjab Land Rules 2020.
The commissioner further added that the master plan will be revised on a priority basis and various development zones in Tehsils will be established in the city.
The development planning will be done by demarcating urban boundaries.
