The board directed the PPP unit to prepare a feasibility report for the construction of an Expressway from Mauripur Road to Y-junction and an interchange at the junction of ICI Bridge and Jinnah Bridge on PPP mode. Tenders will be floated for national and international bidders at the earliest.

An alternate link road will also be constructed to accommodate the residents of Korangi Creek, from the heavy inflow of traffic due to the educational institutions and industrial zones present nearby, along with the PAF Airmen Academy.

Operation & maintenance of two additional roads, leading from Tando Mohammad Khan to Badin Road and Khyber to Sanghar Road will also be constructed on PPP mode, as per the board decision. A Toll-Tax system will be installed at these roads after the feasibility reports of the project are submitted to the board.

The PPP unit has further been assigned to draft a feasibility report identifying recreational spots such as Gorakh Hill Station, Keenjahr Lake and Haliji Lake can be transformed into tourist spots of international repute. The design, build, finance, operation & maintenance will be made through a private party.

The attendees of the board meeting included Minister for Health Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, Planning and Division Board (P&D) Chairman Mohammad Waseem, PSCM Sajid Jamal Abro, Secretary Finance Hassan Naqvi, Secretary Local Government Roshan Shaikh, Secretary Works Imran Atta Soomro, PPP Unit MD Khalid Shaikh, NED VC Dr Sarosh Lodhi and other relevant officials.
