Lahore: A meeting was recently held for the review of Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2019-20. Presided by the Provincial Minister Hashim Jawan Bakhat, the meeting announced the establishment of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in Punjab for effective implementation of projects. He also declared the introduction of public welfare schemes in the next budget. These would include credit guarantee scheme, agriculture card, skilled youth programme and mother care centres in backward areas and internship programmes.
The departments have been directed to cut down on their expenditures and prepare schemes for the promotion of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
In a review of the ongoing development projects of the current fiscal year 2018-19, 90 percent of the allocated budget has been utilized.
