Lahore: The 27th meeting of the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) for the fiscal year 2018-19 was held, chaired by Planning and Development Chairman Habibur Rehman Gilani. Five schemes worth Rs2.2 billion were approved during meeting.
The approved development schemes include institutional strengthening consultant for institutional reforms in project cities under Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Programme PC-II for Rs9.5 million. Another approved schemes includes drainage and sewerage and PCC/RCC scheme at Rahwali and nearby localities at Rs966.5 million. More include establishment of cadet College at Khanpur and Rahim Yar Khan at a cost of Rs611.5 million, rehabilitation of Hajipur Gujran flood safety bund in Narowal district at Rs500.5 million and protecting village areas of Shahpur Changora, Fatehpur Gujran, Suko Chak, Chakra, Chatri, Negrota, Khosa and Gole against erosive action of Bein Nullah of Shakargarh, Narowal at Rs163 million.
The meeting was attended by Planning and development Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of Planning and development Board, provincial secretaries and senior representatives of concerned departments.
