LAHORE: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved 23 development schemes worth Rs1,72,514.599mn for the uplift of the road sector and suggested Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) to include it in the upcoming budget.
According to the officials, the schemes were approved in the current fiscal year meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) presided over by Planning & Development Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal.
As per the details, the approved schemes includes the construction of a double road from Karam Dad Qureshi (N-70) to Layyah District Muzaffargarh / Layyah worth Rs28,576.490mn, development of a double road for Vehari – Abdul Hakim Road District Vehari / Khanewal worth Rs10,634.461mn, double road from Lahore-Sargodha Khushab Mianwali Road, District Khushab worth Rs10,863.294mn, double road from Sial Morr Interchange (M-2) to District boundary Sargodha – District Sargodha worth Rs19,984.143mn and 19 other roads schemes.
