ISLAMABAD: As per the latest data issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the information and communications technology (ICT) exports kept a healthy growth of inflows – $1.69 billion – from July to February 2021-22.
According to the SBP, a 30 per cent year-on-year increase has also been recorded.
It is pertinent to state that ICT is at the top among the services sector with regards to its contribution to the economy. The overall exports of the services sector grew by 18 per cent year-on-year and stood at $4.49 billion due to higher inflows.
According to experts privy to the matter, ICT exports have surged consistently since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
