ISLAMABAD: To initiate the exchange of updated information regarding job opportunities in the UAE’s labour market and stimulate export of Pakistani workforce to the Gulf state, United Arab Emirates (UAE) offered access of its labour market database to Pakistan, announced a press release.
This initiative was discussed in a meeting between UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) Nasser Bin Thani Al Hameli and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistan and Human Resource Development Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari held on the side-lines of the 5th ministerial session of Abu Dubai Dialogue.
Pakistan was ready to link its digital platform with the UAE to integrate a digital platform that would not only ensure a fair and transparent recruitment process but also minimise the cost, informed Zulfi Bukhari.
After signing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) recently to ensure the protection of Pakistani workers’ rights and resolving their legal job disputes in the UAE, the joint committee formed for the implementation of the MoU was also activated.
Furthermore, a three-year plan for the recruitment of Pakistani workforce will also be prepared.
This initiative is one of the practical measures taken by the government to create job opportunities for the youth within the country and abroad, he added.
