Pakistan Marks Defense Day with Tribute to Martyrs and National Unity on September 6

Islamabad: Pakistan is celebrating Defense Day today on September 6 with fervor and patriotic spirit resonating throughout the country. According to reports, Pakistan’s President, Arif Alvi, Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, all service chiefs, and the Pakistan Army have all expressed heartfelt tributes to the martyrs and extended their condolences to their families.

President Arif Alvi, in his message, commended those who have devoted their lives to the nation’s cause. Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, the Caretaker Prime Minister, emphasized in his Defense and Martyrs Day message that the nation stands united with its courageous armed forces to counter any threats to the country’s security and progress. Through dedication and valor, they will continue to safeguard Pakistan against security and economic challenges.

To commemorate Defense Day and honor the martyrs, a dignified ceremony was conducted at the mausoleum of Pakistan’s founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. During the ceremony, cadets from the Pakistan Air Force assumed the responsibility of guarding Quaid’s mausoleum.
