Islamabad: According to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) 75 from a total of 77 marquees are operating without a no- objection certificate (NOC).
CDA Building Control section has issued notices to 45 marquees owners. Rest of them have obtained court stays and will not be issued notices until the stays are vacated.
According to the notices, owners have been directed to remove their marquees. In case of failed compliance, action will be taken under section 49-C of the CDA Ordinance which may result in demolition of the structure.
Most of these marquees operate in areas of E-11, Bhara Kahu, Banigala, G.T Road, Murree Road, along the Kashmir Highway and other areas.
