Nine projects worth Rs.251bn approved by ECNEC

ISLAMABAD: In a meeting chaired by Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved nine mega development projects worth Rs.251 billion.

The approved projects include the construction of Gwadar-Ratodero (M-8) road project was also approved in the meeting. The project worth Rs.38bn of Ministry of Communication is executed by National Highway Authority (NHA) and is of great significance in light of CPEC connectivity. The meeting also approved the uplift and dualisation of Old Bannu road which will cost Rs.17.2 billion.
