Islamabad: An elevated road has been proposed on Islamabad-Murree Dual Carriageway, falling under the National Highway Authority (NHA). The highway remains important from a tourism perspective as it leads to several Galiat and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Post construction and execution of this highway NHA has now completed the engineering process. NHA also has its future plans for the extension of this highway costing Rs5 crore.
In line with the instructions from the Supreme Court (SC) however, NHA has also removed encroachments from this highway at a stretch of three kilometres. It has ensured of making the artery free of any infringements.
