ISLAMABAD: In a bid to further beautify the city of Islamabad, the Capital Development Authority has operationalized the 80% of existing infrastructure of street lights.
The civic authority of Islamabad has also replaced the energy consuming bulbs with LEDs which will change the energy consumption pattern of the city. Moreover, colorful lights are also being installed in underpasses.
According to the details, the revamp work on street lights has been carried out at Jinnah Avenue, Srinagar Highway, Expressway, Margalla Road, major commercial and residential areas of Islamabad.
CDA has also devised a mechanism for the redressal of complaints and have dedicated 10 vehicles for this purpose.
