LDA shuts 24 buildings upon violation of laws

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) Town Planning Zone-5 teams conducted a grand operation on Tuesday, wherein 24 buildings were sealed.
The buildings were said to be going ahead with commercial activities without seeking the Authority’s approval.
It is pertinent to state that the buildings were located at Canal Road between Thokar Niaz Beg and Shahkam Chowk. Moreover, the teams have also bulldozed several structures on the same road that had been built without the approval of their maps.
