
LAHORE: To prevent citizens from property scams, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has come up with the decision to register property dealers.
LDA reached the decision during the third meeting of the LDA Governing Body for the year 2022. The meeting was held on Thursday, under the chairmanship of vice-chairman LDA Naeem-ul-Haq.
According to the sources, the governing body of LDA approved a procedure to prevent the fraud of the real estate agents. Moreover, a decision was made to better the digital organisation of the LDA to provide quality services to the public. It was also decided that the employees of LDA will be given the basic salary of Rs12,000 as their allowance for Eid.
During the meeting, Joint Venture (JV) Regulations LDA 2022 was also approved. The decision was followed by the approval of the automation of LDA along with the reconstitution of the Plot Auction Committee of LDA. It was decided that the committee will include a member of the governing body.
They also decided during the meeting that the scrutiny committee will be handed over the master plan 2050, and after the issue of a public notice, it will be sent back to the Governing Body.
The attendees of the meeting were, Vice-Chairman Wasa Sh Imtiaz Mehmood, Engineer Amir Qureshi, Tariq Sana Bajwa, MPA Sadia Sohail Rana, Additional DG (Headquarters) Farqalit Mir, Chief Metropolitan Planner Syed Nadeem Akhtar Zaidi, and Additional DG Housing Qadeer Ahmed Bajwa.
