LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has initiated development work on previously uninhabited land in the Journalist Colony located in Harbanspura, Lahore, fulfilling the promise made by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi.
Following the completion of the ongoing development efforts, affected journalists who had previously been residing in the colony will be offered alternative plots in the area.
Provincial Ministers, Aamir Mir and Syed Azfar Ali Nasir, alongside Commissioner Lahore, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, paid a visit to the Journalist Colony in Harbanspura to assess the progress of the development work on the designated plots.
During the visit, the provincial ministers instructed the LDA officials to expedite the development work to ensure swift completion.
Provincial Minister for Housing, Azfar Ali Nasir, stated that the LDA is expected to complete the development work at the site in the coming weeks, which will enable journalists who had been denied their rightful accommodation for an extended period to receive it in a timely manner.
The development of previously uninhabited land in the Journalist Colony is set to serve as a beacon of hope for affected journalists and stands as a testament to the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promises.
