Lahore: Construction plan for the tallest building in Johar Town’s Finance and Trade Centre (FTC) Lahore has been approved.
Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has approved the map for a 500- foot tall, 45 storey building after being granted No objection certificate (NOCs) from Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Environment Department and Traffic and Engineering and Transport Planning Agency. As per CAA’s NOC however, the building shall not exceed 500 feet. It will stand as the second tallest structure in Pakistan after the first tallest in Karachi.
The building will stand erect over an area of 44 kanals while the allocated land for it is 18,645 sqm. It has three basements and 42 storeys, capacity for 420 car parks with its own treatment plants including horticulture and rainwater recycling.
According to the LDA Chief Town Planner Nadeem Akhtar Zaidi, the building map has been handed over to the project owners and construction work is expected soon. Respective formalities of structure stability, traffic impacts, drawings, vetting reports and car park agreements have been fulfilled by the executing agency.
