Landowners compensated for RRR

RAWALPINDI: While chairing a meeting on Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project, Commissioner Rawalpindi informed that landowners have been paid Rs130mn as compensation money for Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) project.

While briefing the occasion, Commissioner Rawalpindi apprised that landowners have been paid for acquiring the land falling under the first package of 32km of RRR.

According to the details, the revenue department has set the target of paying Rs100mn per week.

Furthermore, the meeting was told that different national and international companies have shown interest in taking part in RRR.
