KP Housing Dept, FGEHA sign MoU to construct high-rise building

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Department and Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to construct a 20 plus floors High-rise residential apartments in Nishtarabad, Peshawar.

On behalf of both the authorities, Secretary Housing KP Daud Khan and Director General FGEHA Waseem Hayat Bajwa signed the MoU.

Minister Housing Dr Amjad Ali, DG Provincial Housing Authority Imran Wazir, FGE­HA Director Staff Fayaz Gill and Direc­tor Coordination Adnan Dayar were present at the agreement ceremony, held at Civil Secretariat Peshawar.

The announced project will spread over an area of 36kanals, with an estimated cost of about Rs.15 billion.

Under this initiative, FGEHA will take up the technical and administrative role, facilitating the planning, execution, structuring, engineering, construction, management and advertising of the residential apartments.

Speaking at the occasion, Minister for Housing Dr Amjad Ali revealed the floor plans of the project.

The first four floors will be reserved for commercial activities, whereas government offices would be situated on the fifth floor of the project.

The remaining floors will entirely be dedicated to the construction of residential apartments.

While expediting various projects in the province, the high-rise apartment’s project is one of the mega projects the provincial government will carry out.

It will mark the construction and development of the first-ever 20 plus high-rise building to be constructed in Peshawar.
