KP govt approves road infrastructure projects worth Rs1280mn

PESHAWAR: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved several road infrastructure projects costing Rs1280 million.

The projects approved on the special directive of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan are aimed at uplifting road infrastructure and improving connectivity across the process, informed Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information, Kamran Bangash.

The approved projects include constructing and poor teaching quality a 15km road from the Mehsud area to Shawal road costing Rs. 490 million in South Waziristan. In addition, Wana-Angorada Road and Wana-Jandola Road are worth Rs3 million and Rs2.8 million.

A sum of Rs380 million has been allocated to rehabilitate 12km Saraj-ud-Din Madrassa road to Jankhan Kalay Road in the Khyber District. The 7.8km Mari-Zehra Road project located in district Orakzai will be completed for Rs340 million.

Moreover, South Waziristan’s 52km Wanna Road to Tank Road will be repaired for Rs20 million by the authorities.
